Notes:
This is a really nice course because a lot of it's downhill. You loop around by the stadium and then down the parade route. There is a little uphill at the end, but it's not as bad as the Tooele's uphill at the end of the 4th. It's also a lot cooler at this time of the day. And we're done by 7:00 am. If we want to, we can hang around for another half an hour and watch the winner of the marathon come in. It's pretty cool to see. We'll see how we feel.

There are 2 water stations on the course. It's been my experience that you get more out of the water station if you just stop and pick up your drink and drink it while you're walking. You're slowing down anyways to drink it and sometimes you slow down to a pace slower than if you just stopped and walked for 10 seconds. However, do what feels natural.

Don't go overboard with how much you eat because your body isn't use to eating this early, but do eat and drink something.

And most important. Have fun!
