Wet Wednesday
Day 26
Swimming
Another Wednesday. More laps. Bleh.
We were at Deseret Peak. Again, so we took turns. Again. And this time wasn't nearly as eventful as Monday. No injuries. Just 25 laps. 50 lengths. However, I was wondering if it takes me an average of 30 seconds to get from one end of the pool to the other, why does everyone who wants to cross the lane wait until the half second I'm right in front of them to cross?
I spent my lap time thinking of three things:
(a) Our secret mission for the triathlon
(b) Pretending I was in the lake and trying not to swallow the water
(c) Our run on Friday
So:
(a) Our secret mission for the triathlon.
I talked with Christina about our mission and she's game, so we all know what we need to do. No need to spell it out here. Haha. I love secret missions.
(b) I tend to pull water into my mouth and then spit it out when I'm swimming. I know. Gross. So I spent a lot of my swim concentrating on not doing that. And then I started to imagine I was in the lake (which is gross too) and so I was swimming with my eyes closed and only opening them when my head was out of the water, because I hate that I'm swimming with fishies in the lake and I don't want to see them.
(c) Our run on Friday
10 miles. Bleh. But it will be my first double digit run since the half marathon I did with Christina in January of '08. So here's to a nice 10 miles.
See. Pretty uneventful.
