The Bird

Day 41
Biking

I haven't flipped anyone the bird in a long time. I've thought about doing it on occassion, but actually doing it, for all the world to see, I haven't done in a while.

Until today.

Today, we were coming back from our leisurely ride over to Erda. We turned on to Village and I was waiting for this red car to pass so I could cross the street, so I was riding on the wrong side of the street. I might have been riding next to Christina, talking to her. But still. The street is plenty big for all of us to fit on it and be happy. But no.

Mr. Crappy Red Car was not going to move over and instead, laid on his horn as he was approaching me. Like he was going to be late for work because of me.

So I gave him the bird. Because he deserved it. And I'm only human. And I've been working out for an hour six days a week for two months and I've only lost four pounds and I'm in constant sleep deprivation. So Mr. Crappy Red Car, don't mess with me.

And that's it. That's the most excitement that today's ride brought us.

If you read my email earlier, I sent a link to the NEW bike course. I drove it today and it looks to be a ton easier than the original course. But I'm a little mad I've spent all summer riding the other course. Oh well. Made me stronger, right? I hate how we're going to have to ride it twice.

Have a good day off.
