Running at Joes Valley

Again the scenery was beautiful to be running. Friday I got up and ran with Natalie Griffith. (She hasn't been running lately so it wasn't super fast.) We did 5 miles. Saturday Natalie and Jeremy stayed in bed. (Jer keeps saying I am the reason he isn't working out. Ha! His parents would've babysat! He just wants to blame it on ME!) So I ran about 7 miles. I would've ran more but I didn't have the time. My biggest concern is my knees. I've been having pain in my knees. I'll have to ask Sandra what it felt like when she ended up having to have surgery. I'm a little worried. It would be just my luck to do all this work and in the end not be able to do it. I felt good after about the third mile. It takes me a bit to warm up. I'm glad to hear Sandra is excited for this run! Hopefully we'll all be able to taper well.

Did your knees stop hurting after 3 miles?

Both knees or just one?

My guess would be that you're running too fast. Try slowing down a little bit for your training runs and saving the speed for the races. Hopefully, it's not your meniscus. We'll talk more when I see you.
