Results Analysis

So we got the results for the triathlon today:

Hillary was ONLY a minute and a half behind Jenifer. She beat her in everything but the bike. But here's the thing. Either Jenifer or my swim time is off because I KNOW that we hit the starting line at the same time on our bikes. I got a little hung up, but not 3 minutes worth. But I'm not sure it was me they messed up on, because Christina was way gone when I reached my bike. So I say Hillary came in first place. YAY!

Swim: 10:33
Bike: 46:14
Run: 26:40

Total Time: 1:23:27

Christina did awesome as well. In the hardest age group, she took 12th out of 20:

Swim: 11:47
Bike: 53:15
Run: 28:35

Total Time: 1:33:37

I placed 6th (maybe 5th. Depending on the swim) out of 11 in the age group:

Swim: 13:54 (I think I fell asleep in the pond)
Bike: 49:13
Run: 33:28 (and on the run)

Total Time: 1:36:35

Only Hillary completed our secret mission. Looks like he was training on the side or something.

Overall, I think we did really well. I would like to figure out that discrepency on the swim though. But, it won't catapult me onto the medal stand, so I'll leave it be. For this year. But I can beat Jenifer next year. I just need to speed up my bike and my run. No problem, right? :)

So what's the secret in the swim? Do you start in the front on the side and resist the urge to migrate to the middle? We definitely need to explore this further, because I don't want to get kicked in the face next year if I can help it. Once the results get posted online, I can run some more analysis.

Anyways, good job Hillary! Take some time off the bike and maybe speed up the run a little and you're in contention to win next year. If not the whole thing, then at least place in the age category.

Can't wait for the next one.

Good job everyone. The good news for Sandra is I'm moving out of the young ones. (Boo who!) Good job Christina! That was fun. I'll post the pictures soon.
