The Wheels Go Round and Round

Day 33
Road Biking

We decided to do the triathlon course this morning on our bikes. It was a pretty uneventful ride to Erda Way. However, when we turned around I was all excited to pop my bike from the easiest gear to the hardest gear so I could fly down the road. Then my chain popped off and got stuck and we had to pull over so I could fix it. Then I couldn't fix it, but Christina the Machina did. She's my hero.

We stopped at my house and ran up Stansbury Parkway. I actually had my watch on this time and was pleasantly surprised to find us running at a 9:30 pace. It sure didn't feel like it. It felt like we were crawling at a 13:00 pace. I had toyed around with the idea of not wearing my watch during the triathlon, but I think what happened last time was that I thought I was going so slow so I tried to speed up, but then crashed because my body hadn't ever gone that fast, especially after swimming and biking 12 miles. So, I think I'm going to wear my watch so I can gauge my speed.

So, yeah. Another early morning. Another workout. Same old, same old. I'm excited for the 10k tomorrow though.
