A Week Behind
I totally forgot to post last week's activities:
Monday, September 28
We ran our track workout this morning pretty consistently, though I had a stomach ache due to the ice cream I ate Sunday night. So I had to find a bathroom. But I felt much better afterwards. We got all six in and ran between 1,2 3,4, and 5,6. We did a recovery walk between 2,3 and 4,5. 2:00, 2:02, 2:02, 1:58, 2:00, 2:00
Tuesday, September 29
We did a 30 minute easy run this morning, which was a challenge because I was fighting a migraine. Every step I took reverberated in my head. But we did 3.03 in 30:05, averaging 9:56/mile. Didn't seem like we were moving that "fast", but I guess we were. I feel good about being down to a sub-10 minute pace for the "easy" runs. I let Hillary borrow my watch for her run with Amy and Sharayne and was pleasantly surprised to find that we weren't that far behind them.
Wednesday, September 30
It was POURING this morning. Christina opted to stay home, but Hillary and I braved the conditions. We were suppose to run 3 miles at a 9:30 pace but it was too dark and wet, so we did 3 miles around the neighborhood in 30:52, averaging about 10:17 per mile.
Thursday, October 1
I went swimming this morning with some friends from Millpond, Sara and Cassie. I ran with them in the Marathon Relay in September. It was pretty uneventful if I remember correctly.
Friday, October 2
We decided to do 8 miles this morning for a long run. I mapped out a course that started at Christina's and ran all over Stansbury. We did really good for the first five miles and then Hillary got a stomach ache. Naturally, the golf course bathroom was closed so she kept going. At about 6.50 miles, she had to stop and walk and Christina and I continued ahead to finish the 8 miles, which included a loop around Christina's neighborhood. Hillary's dignity remained intact for another day, but it was a close call. We ran 8 miles in 1:18:53, averaging 9:52/mile. Which is just plain awesome. 8 miles at a sub 10 minute pace. YAY!! I felt really good, like I could've kept that pace up for another few miles.
Saturday, October 3
Christina went to a scrapbooking thing and Hillary was spending the day with her hubby, so I decided to take the day off. It felt good to sleep in and not worry about working out.
